James Bond Casino Royale Opening Analysis

Firstly with characters we only see who they are right at the beginning of the opening when we see the typical memorable motif of when in the James Bond's films we see James through the barrel of a gun shooting back at us. Throughout the rest of the opening the only people we see are animated and are based around the colours red, which holds connotations of love and death so we assume these will be involved in the film and also black, which holds connotations of sophistication, sexiness and mystery, so we assume this is going to be a part of the film.
Another way the colours used link to the film is as it is to do with a casino the colours red and black are used on cards so this is another way we can see how colours are linked to the plot.

There are symbols of the heart, spade, diamonds and clubs signs which are on cards throughout the opening. I feel these are basically used to make bringing up the credits more interesting.
