Last week we were working on our production logo. Jess and I were working together on figuring out different aspects of creating our logo. We have been through a few different ideas over the time of creating our opening sequence. We did a mind map in one of our meetings which consisted of the ideas;
-Wonky Donkey Productions
-Lighthouse Productions
-Newhouse Productions
-Lightbulb Productions
-Transform Productions
We came to the conclusion that the best names we had were the 'Lighthouse' name and the 'Lightbulb name. We made a production image for both and chose that the best one was our Lightbulb idea, so we went for that. I sat with Jess and we made sure that we had done everything we could to make it as good as it could be. We sent it over to Efosa and he added it to the beginning of the film and we watched it a few times and it looks appropriate and works with our film.

What I learnt from Preliminary Sequence Activity
The Preliminary Sequence activity was extremely helpful as it helped us all to understand how to use the editing software so we all felt more confident in using it. We all took it in turns to have a practice so we were all ready for editing our real sequence. We learnt how to select the different parts of filming that we needed and separate the parts we didn't need. Also we learnt how to change the edits for example we could make it a wipe or a straight cut or a graphic match. The exercise helped us a lot with the editing of our real opening sequence so it was very useful for us a group.

Recent Progress
In the past few lessons we have mainly been concentrating on getting all our work ready from our Media booklets to be scanned and put onto all of our blogs. We have also whilst doing this been editing our opening sequence. Efosa is the most skilled out of our group on Final Cut so he is taking control of editing but we are all putting our ideas in as to how the final edit looks. We are making quite good progress now and are working very well as a team so we are ready to show our opening sequence when it is asked for.

My role in the organisational aspects of planning and shooting
As I am not going to be starring in the opening I have taken on the role of filming the actual production. Because of this I have been planning angles and types of ways I will film the shots. As Jessica is my good friend I have been to her house many times so I know where we will be filming which makes it easier for me to understand how I can film the shots. Also this will make the whole filming experience a lot smoother and easier for us as a group.
